Your Booking Reference Is Only for DVSA's Ears

The booking reference is the most sensitive piece of any test swap. Swappy's process is designed so it never needs to leave the official DVSA phone call.

Why the booking reference matters

Your reference plus licence number is effectively the password to your booking. Anyone holding both can log into the DVSA system and change or cancel your test. That's why cancellation bots collect them — and why you should never hand them to any service.

Where it's used in a Swappy swap

In exactly one place: spoken by you, to the DVSA agent, on 0300 200 1122, so the agent can locate your booking and make the exchange. Your swap partner doesn't hear it, Swappy doesn't store it, and it appears nowhere in the app's swap flow as a requirement.

The design principle behind it

Swappy handles the human side of a swap — finding a partner and agreeing a call time — using only date, time and centre. Everything requiring identity or booking credentials stays where DVSA can verify it properly: on their own official channel.

Swap your test the safe, official way

Only your test date, time and centre are needed — no personal details, no bots, just the official DVSA phone line.
