The Complete Driving Test Swap Checklist: Everything You Need Before You List
Before you list your driving test on Swappy, run through this checklist to make sure your swap goes smoothly. Being prepared means faster matching and a stress-free DVSA call.
Before You List Your Test
Know your exact DVSA booking reference (on your confirmation email)
Know your test centre name exactly as DVSA spells it
Know your test date and time exactly
Confirm you have at least 1 change remaining (max 2 per booking)
Check you're test-ready — confirm with your instructor first
Know which 3 centres are nearest to yours (Swappy shows you)
Have your driving licence number handy
Before You Confirm a Swap Match
Verify the other person's test details match what you want
Agree on who calls DVSA first (or whether to use Swappy's 3-way bridge)
Confirm you're both available to call DVSA at the agreed time
Ensure your ADI is aware of the new date (check their blackout/readiness settings in Swappy)
Save the DVSA phone number (0300 200 1122) to your phone in advance
On the Day of the DVSA Call
Call Mon–Fri between 8am and 4pm
Have your booking reference, licence number, and new date ready
Don't hang up until DVSA confirms the change verbally
Check your email for DVSA's confirmation within a few minutes
