Swappy Free vs Premium: Which Plan Is Right for You?
Swappy comes with a 7-day free trial — no card needed. After that, Premium unlocks the shared two-call plan, priority matching, and more. Here's an honest breakdown of what you get on each plan.

What Does the Free Trial Include?
During your 7-day free trial you get full access. You can:
- List your test and be discovered by other learners
- Browse available swaps at one test centre
- Send and receive swap proposals
- Arrange both DVSA calls yourselves — no shared plan and no reminders
After 7 days, your listing stays live but you'll need a subscription to keep sending and receiving proposals. The main limitation without Premium: you arrange both DVSA calls yourselves, with no shared plan and nothing to remind you if the second call is running late.
When Should You Upgrade to Premium?
Nobody reminds you about the 4pm cut-off
The second call is what completes the swap — miss it and the request lapses at the end of the day. Premium reminds you in time.
You want to browse multiple centres
Free limits you to 1 centre. Premium opens up 5 — which dramatically increases your chances of finding a match quickly.
You want faster matching
Premium listings appear higher in search results and get priority matching — meaning your listing gets seen first.
Is Premium Worth It?
At £4.99 per month, Swappy Premium costs less than one hour of driving lessons. If it helps you find an earlier test date, it pays for itself many times over — you avoid paying for extra lessons while you wait.
Most learners find their swap within 1–7 days of listing — so even a one-month subscription is usually enough.
What Is Premium+?
Premium+ adds instant phone call alerts. When a matching swap appears at one of your preferred centres, we call your phone within 30 seconds — before email even arrives. This is ideal if you're serious about being first in line.
