DVSA Process

What You Actually Share on the DVSA Swap Call — And With Whom

The DVSA call is the only moment identity details appear in a swap. Here's exactly who hears what, so there are no surprises.

What the DVSA agent hears (from you only)

To locate your booking, the agent will ask you to verify it — normally your booking reference and licence details. This is the standard check for any booking change, spoken directly to a DVSA employee on DVSA's own line (0300 200 1122).

What your swap partner hears

Nothing sensitive. Each learner deals with the agent about their own booking. Your partner already knows your test date, time and centre — the same three facts on your Swappy listing — and learns nothing more during the call.

What Swappy hears

Nothing at all. Swappy is not on the call, doesn't record it, and never asks what was said. Once DVSA emails both learners their new confirmations, you simply mark the swap complete in the app.

The takeaway

Your identity details travel down exactly one path — from you to DVSA — the same path they'd take if you were changing your test date on your own. The swap adds no new exposure whatsoever.

Swap your test the safe, official way

Only your test date, time and centre are needed — no personal details, no bots, just the official DVSA phone line.
