DVSA Compliance

Why Every Swappy Swap Is DVSA Compliant, by Construction

Compliance isn't a policy page at Swappy — it's built into the matching engine. Here's how rule-breaking swaps are made impossible.

Rule 1: Location restrictions, enforced

From June 2026, DVSA only allows a booking to move to nearby centres. Swappy holds DVSA's own centre-proximity data and blocks any proposal that would breach it — you simply can't propose an invalid swap.

Rule 2: The two-change limit, tracked

DVSA allows two changes per booking. Swappy asks how many swaps you have remaining and factors it into matching, so nobody agrees a swap that DVSA's agent would then refuse.

Rule 3: The 10-working-day window, warned

Tests less than 10 working days away can't be changed on the phone line. Swappy warns owners as their test approaches the window, so calls are made while a swap is still possible.

And the change itself? Always DVSA's hands

Even with all checks passed, Swappy never touches a booking. Both learners phone 0300 200 1122, verify their own bookings, and DVSA staff make the exchange. Compliance at every layer, with only test date, time and centre ever shared on the platform.

Swap your test the safe, official way

Only your test date, time and centre are needed — no personal details, no bots, just the official DVSA phone line.
