How Swappy Protects Your Identity During a Test Swap
Every stage of a Swappy swap is designed so you reveal as little about yourself as possible — here's the walkthrough.
Stage 1: Listing — a display name and three facts
Your listing shows a display name you choose and your test's date, time and centre. That's what the whole community sees. No surname, no photo, no location beyond the test centre itself.
Stage 2: Matching — built-in messaging only
When someone proposes a swap, all negotiation happens inside Swappy: agreeing who calls DVSA and when. You never need to hand over a phone number or email address to organise the call.
Stage 3: The DVSA call — your details go only to DVSA
On the official DVSA line (0300 200 1122), each learner verifies their own booking with the agent. Your partner never hears your licence number or booking reference — DVSA handles each side of the exchange separately.
Optional sharing, mutual consent
If both learners prefer to coordinate directly, contact sharing can be switched on — but only when both sides opt in. One-sided requests reveal nothing.
Swap your test the safe, official way
Only your test date, time and centre are needed — no personal details, no bots, just the official DVSA phone line.
