Swappy Never Asks for Personal Details — Only Date, Time & Centre
A plain-English explanation of the only three pieces of information Swappy ever needs to arrange a driving test swap — and why nothing else is ever requested at any stage.
The only three things Swappy needs
- Your test date
- Your test time
- Your test centre
What Swappy never asks for
Swappy never requests your driving licence number, theory test certificate, National Insurance number, home address, date of birth, or payment card details of other users. There is no stage of the swap process — listing, matching, proposing, or completing — where any of these are needed.
Why so little information is enough
A test swap is simply two learners agreeing to exchange dates. To find a matching partner, all Swappy needs to know is when and where each test is. The actual date change is carried out by DVSA staff on the official phone line (0300 200 1122), where each learner verifies their own booking directly with DVSA — never through Swappy.
Your booking reference stays between you and DVSA
The one sensitive item involved in a swap — your booking reference — is only ever quoted to a DVSA agent during the official call. Swappy is designed so the platform never needs it, which means it can never be misused.
