Can Your Theory Test Expire While Waiting for a Practical?
Yes — and it's happening to thousands of learners. Your theory certificate is only valid for 2 years.
2-year validity from the date you pass
If your theory expires before your practical test date, your practical test will be automatically cancelled. You'll need to retake (and pay for) the theory test first.
The maths
If you pass your theory and wait 6 months to book a practical, then the wait is 24 weeks (6 months)... that's 12 months used up. You have 12 months left for retakes if needed. It gets tight.
