Theory Test Tips: How to Pass First Time
Don't waste £23 and weeks of waiting by failing a test you could easily pass with the right preparation.
Use a theory test app daily
Apps like Theory Test Pro or the official DVSA app let you practise on the go. Do 15-20 minutes every day for 2-3 weeks.
Read the Highway Code cover to cover
Many questions are taken directly from it. Pay special attention to road signs, speed limits, and stopping distances.
Understand, don't memorise
The questions are designed to test understanding. If you understand WHY the answer is correct, you'll handle variations.
Master hazard perception timing
Click too early = flagged as cheating. Click too late = no score. Practise the sweet spot: click as the hazard begins to develop.
Take mock tests until you score 45+
You need 43/50 to pass. Don't book until you're consistently scoring 45+ on mock tests.
